The Very Important Business Program is designed to facilitate (1) the flow of information between businesspeople and their government officials in El Paso County, (2) profitable networking among businesspeople themselves, and (3) bonds of loyalty between the Republican public and businesspeople who support the party through participation in this program.
Members receive entry to quarterly meetings focused on state, municipal, county, and federal government. Our first meeting, on August 20, featured a panel of state government officials, including Attorney General Cynthia Coffman, Secretary of State Wayne Williams, Rep. Kit Roupe, Rep. Paul Lundeen, and Rep. Terri Carver. The Gazette covered its great success here. Our second meeting, on November 24, featured Colorado Springs Mayor John Suthers, Monument Mayor Rafael Dominguez, Green Mountain Falls Mayor Lorrie Worthey, and Fountain Mayor Gabriel Ortega. The Gazette covered it here and KOAA News 5 covered it here. Our third meeting, at 6:00 PM on February 29, featured Colorado’s Republican candidates for U.S. Senate. The Gazette covered it here and KOAA covered it in a story not posted online.
Members benefit also from the VIB Directory published here for all El Paso County Republicans to see.
Dinner is provided after every meeting.
Silver members of the VIB Program make sustaining, monthly contributions of $25 / month, gold members of $50 / month, and diamond members of $300 / month.
