Henry Olsen at Colorado College: Identity Politics, Populism and 2020

The Colorado College chapter for the American Enterprise Institute is excited to announce that esteemed conservative intellectual Henry Olsen will be speaking on campus on Wednesday, April 10th.

Henry Olsen is a senior fellow at the Ethics and Public Policy Center (EPPC), a columnist for the Washington Post, and author of two books (The Four Faces of the Republican Party and The Working Class Republican). Mr. Olsen has a B.A. from Claremont McKenna College, a JD from University of Chicago Law School, and has worked at several think tanks, including the American Enterprise Institute, the Manhattan Institute, and was president of the Commonwealth Foundation. Mr. Olsen, an analyst of American and international politics, has argued for a greater emphasis on nationalist and economic-populist strains in American conservative politics. He is well-known for his remarkably accurate election predictions in the 2008, 2010, 2012, 2014, and 2016 elections, and for correctly diagnosing the Trump phenomenon before nearly anyone else.

At Colorado College, Mr. Olsen will speak about populism, identity politics, and their influence on the 2020 elections.

The event is open to the public, and we warmly encourage you to attend. Mr. Olsen’s speech will begin at 6 P.M. in the Gates Common Room, located in Palmer Hall. The event is expected to run for about an hour and a half.
